The Investment

As they say, you get out what you put in. This fact rings true for Greeks as well. Those interested in the Greek experience should anticipate spending on average 1-2 hours per week of time and between $400 - $800 per year in dues and fees. But keep in mind, Greek dues account for less than 2% of a college students annual expenses. This is a small investment when you account for the tremendous benefits of Greek membership.

Housing

  • Each fraternity has their own house. Three are privately owned and three are university owned.
  • Financial aid is not affected by moving into a fraternity house.
  • Rents are set at or below university residence hall rates.
  • Fraternity houses are considered "alternative housing" and fall under UE Student Handbook policies.
  • Rents (along with other fraternity fees) are charged to the students UE bill unless otherwise requested by the student.
  • Sorority members live independently in university properties or private facilities and have access to a sorority suite. The sorority suite is similar to a chapter room and used for meetings, study sessions, recruitment, and other activities.
