We at Lambda Chi Alpha believe this statement to be an accurate description of our leadership position among fraternities at UE. We lead by example in all areas of fraternity life: philanthropy, campus involvement, social life, leadership opportunities and especially academics. Over 1,400 members have been successfully initiated into our brotherhood at UE. Our fraternity is based on a strong brotherhood that is exemplified by our members. It is this principle that allows us to excel in every facet of fraternal and campus life.

Lambda Chi is committed to philanthropy and community service. In past years we donated over 14,500 pounds of food to local food banks, donated to causes such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Evansville Association of Retarded Citizens (Evansville ARC), and adopted numerous families over the holidays. In addition we volunteer our time to mentor children at a local children’s center.

Our brothers are heavily involved in campus activities, as orientation leaders, in student government, and as admission ambassadors among others. We also participate in intramural athletics year around and have brothers on the varsity cross country and swimming teams. We are also renowned across campus for our vibrant social life, boasting parties and events that are looked forward to and attended by many on campus.

Our commitment to academics is unrivaled at UE. We consistently have had higher average GPAs than the all-male average, disproving commonly held beliefs about a negative relationship between fraternities and grades. We provide the support and tools necessary to see that individual scholastic performance is everything that it can be. All of these strengths set Lambda Chi Alpha apart from other fraternities at UE. Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish pledgeship and hazing. We believe that all brothers are equal and share all privileges, eliminating the "us versus them" mentality. Lambda Chi pioneered a new kind of brotherhood where you belong in the fraternity on day one and for a lifetime.
