Panhellenic Association

The University of Evansville is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference*, the national governing body for 26 national and international women's social fraternities and sororities.  Every woman who joins a sorority becomes a member of the Panhellenic Association, regardless of her individual affiliation. The association exists on both a national and local level. At least two elected representatives from each sorority make up the Panhellenic Council, which guides the Panhellenic Association. Council members compile rules and regulations governing formal recruitment and other all-sorority events.

Panhellenic Creed

We, the undergraduate members of women’s fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for the guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college and community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activity.

We, as fraternity women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.
