Celebrating over 100 years of sisterhood, Zeta Tau Alpha is the nation’s third largest National Panhellenic Conference sorority. The Zeta Alpha chapter, which commemorated its 40th anniversary on UE’s campus in 2004, is one of 236 Zeta chapters across the country and around the world that join in the fight against breast cancer. Zetas accomplish this through involvement in Race for the Cure, distributing Think Pink cards to the public, collecting Save Lids to Save Lives yogurt lids, and volunteering for Hoops for the Cure at Roberts Municipal Stadium. In addition, the women of Zeta Tau Alpha donate proceeds from their annual philanthropic event, Big Man on Campus, to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2006, they also donated proceeds from the first Family Feud philanthropy.

At UE, Zeta members are actively involved in a variety of organizations on campus. You will find Zetas as admission ambassadors, on residence hall councils, and in College Mentors for Kids, Women’s Chorus, the pep band, PT Club and various other organizations. Reinforcing their dedication to academic achievement, Zeta sisters are members of Sigma Alpha Iota, Delta Sigma Pi, Kappa Pi and other honor societies including Mortar Board, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Order of Omega, Phi Alpha Delta, Psi Chi and Phi Eta Sigma.

Zetas can be counted on to provide competition in every capacity on campus. We stand out in intramural events, scholastic achievement, homecoming and Greek Week activities, and participate in other organizations’ activities and philanthropies. In 2005 Zeta was the winner of Greek Week, the Ace Factor champion, and the spirit award winner during homecoming.

Women from around the country have found a home at Zeta Tau Alpha through the Big/Little Program, White Violet formal, date parties, informal dances, retreats, fraternity mixers and sisterhood activities. Because of these things, Zetas are not only sorority women but also lifelong friends who form a strong bond of sisterhood while at UE.
